ChatGPTにサステイナブルディベロプメント（持続的成長）についての小論文（800語程度）を書いてもらい，それを日本語に翻訳させた．段落分けもなされていたが，こちらにコピペする段階でなくなってしまい，付け直すのも面倒なのでそのまま．ちなみに，指示は英語で行った．どうやら，日本語の扱いはまだ怪しい感じで，和訳の方を見ても，助詞や訳語の選択におかしいところがある．とはいえ，「Write an essay on sustainable development in 800words, and translate it into Japanese.」のようなざっくりした指示でここまでもっともらしい文章が書けるわけで，英語日本語ともに，極めて遺憾ながら，平均的な進学校の高校生よりはレベルが上であろうと判断せざるを得ない．いや，はっきり告白すると，大半の大人よりもレベルが上だと考えざるを得ない．ちなみにこれ，出来が悪いと言われている旧バージョンのChatGPTです．

実は，英語学習にChatGpt を用いるのであれば，英文和訳よりも英作文の方が遥かに役に立つ．近いうちに，どのようにして英作文の勉強に使うのかを例示する予定．

あと，英語の先生が長文問題や対話問題をつくるのにも役に立つ．頑張って訳のわからん対話文を自分で捻り出したり，入試問題からパクってこなくても，AIがテキトーな会話をでっち上げてくれる訳だから． AIの書いたものの著作権て誰に帰属するんだろう．
